D’Agnese Greenway

Highly valued ecologically for its wide floodplain and wetland areas, this 75-acre mature forested property was acquired under the City of Atlanta Greenway Acquisition Project from Mr. Paul D'Agnese, who donated a large portion of this property's acreage. Greenway properties are deed-restricted for preservation in perpetuity. This non-public watershed management tract includes the floodplain of South Utoy Creek as well as adjoining hills rich in original forest species, including buckeye, Mayapple and toothwort. The endangered Bay Star Vine is also found here.
