Idler's Rest Nature Preserve

Idler’s Rest Nature Preserve is a beloved property in Latah County, Idaho at the base of mostly privately-owned Moscow Mountain. For over 100 years, individuals and families have been gathering at this ecologically unique site. Much of the Palouse region of north central Idaho is defined by agricultural fields and ponderosa pine ridges. Idler’s Rest boasts a lush cedar grove and creek. The Cedar Trail is now a part of the OGFN's Community Forest Program. Now owned by the Palouse Land Trust (PLT) and mandated for conservation, the Preserve is protected and managed as a natural place for light recreation, community outreach, and ecological stewardship in perpetuity.
