What is your background as it relates to old-growth forest preservation?
Previously, I have worked in the wildlife biology field for over a decade and was able to travel all over the country working in various private and public lands. I saw first hand the importance of old-growth forests and the vast relationships they provide to living organisms.
What is your favorite forest and why?
Jekyll Island, GA; live oak forests because it feels like stepping into a world of pure fantasy.
What inspired you to join the OGFN team?
I have done so much field work and every time I stepped in an old-growth portion I always felt so fortunate to have that access. That access should be shared with as many people as possible.
What has been the most rewarding thing so far working for OGFN?
Contributing in any way I can to help a passionate team.
Why do you think old-growth forests should be protected in perpetuity?
Access is everything. And the more access to old-growth forests for the public will grow inspiration within populations.
